This is a crazy time of year for us (not as bad as the football season) but within 5 weeks we have Mother's Day, Grant's birthday, Our Anniversary, My birthday, and Father's Day. This busy time has included a trip to Yellowstone with my parents, Mike coming over, food poisoning, celebrations and buying a new car. Man it is so crazy busy.
Yellowstone and the weekend with my family was really nice. We drove up Friday and drove home Sunday night. (Pictures to come, I have them at home) Abby loved the buffalo! She still tells me that she saw the buffalo yesterday (though it's been three weeks now). We saw Old Faithful and went through some of the new buildings that have gone up there. We spent time shopping and ate at the Three Bears Lodge. I was kind of the downer of the ride since I couldn't do as many things since being pregnant. I was just so sore and tired from all the driving but it was still fun.
The rest of the weekend was spent hanging out with family. It was really nice to see everyone (except the Brady bunch and Clynt). I have missed everyone very much.
We stopped by Grant's parent's house on the way home and gave Kandi her mother's day present. Abby had a lot of fun seeing her grandparents, Susie, and the animals.
On the way home Abby threw up maybe three times. It was very traumatic for her and her parents. She was mostly upset that she threw up on the new dress she got from Kim. Every time she saw it for a couple weeks she asked if it had puck on it.
Grant's birthday party was fun. We went out with friends to Five Guys and then back to our house for Grant's favorite cheesecake. Then on his birthday we had a football bbq and afterwards both of us got food poisoning and were sick all night and all day the next day. Luckily Abby didn't eat whatever it was that made us sick because it was awful and there wasn't enough space in one bathroom fro three sick people. There was barely enough for two. Not exactly his favorite birthday.
Grant and I have now been married for 5 years. I can't believe how quickly time goes by. We celebrated at a night out. We tried the Red Iguana for dinner, which a pretty popular place to eat in SLC. It was good but I think I missed out by not trying their signature stuff. The salsa was good though. I'm so grateful to have Grant as my husband and am glad we have forever because that barely seems long enough (most days).
