Wow. It has been a crazy night. We had gone to bed about 10:30 and around 11 Abby comes out of her room and says "I swallowed it like I swallowed my vitamin." We didn't understand her at first but figured out that she swallowed something. So she went in to find the other piece to her window that keeps the window from opening too wide. We searched for the screw hoping she hadn't really swallowed it but with no luck. She pointed to the back of her throat and said it hurt but now it felt all better. We wanted to make sure she actually swallowed it so we got an identical screw out of the other room to ask her and she said "oh good you found a new one." So off to the UofU E.R.
Once we got there we wait for a forever and went back and the nurse tried taking Abby's vitals and she wasn't having it (Since she already knows and hates those tests from her ears). They put her name tag on her foot. She proceed to walk like her foot was broken all night. Limping and not bending it. It was a pretty funny sight. The the doctor came in and we asked her questions on how she was ok and breathing fine.
We sat around for an hour waiting for the X-rays. We playing a pony game, colored on doodle buddy, and watched Monster's Inc. I am so glad I had left my Ipad in my purse because there was nothing good on t.v. We went back for X-rays and Abby was crying and screaming. Grant had to hold her down. I was glad that I couldn't be in the room since I am pregnant because it was really sad. Once they were done they pulled me in the back way to look at the pictures. I really didn't think that she swallowed a screw so I was amazed to see that big old thing in her stomache.
We waited around for the doctor and since it was already pasted her esophagus and it didn't have a pointed bottom that they would wait to see if it would pass through. The doctor almost seemed impressed. He said she had to work really hard to swallow that big of a screw. I think maybe it will be more funny once I have had more sleep.
We were finally discharged and got home and in bed by 2 a.m. I am just
glad that she is ok because that big of a screw head could've chocked
her pretty easily. I am already thinking of scenarios that I will use
this screw over my daughter when she gets older. If it didn't have to go
through her poop I might have framed it as the doctor seemed like
swallowing it was such an accomplishment. Luckily we weren't the parents
in there last week who had the barbie shoe stuck in her ear but I won't
speak too soon since she is only two. I am also glad she had the good
sense to come and tell us what she had done. What a stinker! I am going
to be a zombie at work today.

Holidays
This is a crazy time of year for us (not as bad as the football season) but within 5 weeks we have Mother's Day, Grant's birthday, Our Anniversary, My birthday, and Father's Day. This busy time has included a trip to Yellowstone with my parents, Mike coming over, food poisoning, celebrations and buying a new car. Man it is so crazy busy.
Yellowstone and the weekend with my family was really nice. We drove up Friday and drove home Sunday night. (Pictures to come, I have them at home) Abby loved the buffalo! She still tells me that she saw the buffalo yesterday (though it's been three weeks now). We saw Old Faithful and went through some of the new buildings that have gone up there. We spent time shopping and ate at the Three Bears Lodge. I was kind of the downer of the ride since I couldn't do as many things since being pregnant. I was just so sore and tired from all the driving but it was still fun.
The rest of the weekend was spent hanging out with family. It was really nice to see everyone (except the Brady bunch and Clynt). I have missed everyone very much.
We stopped by Grant's parent's house on the way home and gave Kandi her mother's day present. Abby had a lot of fun seeing her grandparents, Susie, and the animals.
On the way home Abby threw up maybe three times. It was very traumatic for her and her parents. She was mostly upset that she threw up on the new dress she got from Kim. Every time she saw it for a couple weeks she asked if it had puck on it.
Grant's birthday party was fun. We went out with friends to Five Guys and then back to our house for Grant's favorite cheesecake. Then on his birthday we had a football bbq and afterwards both of us got food poisoning and were sick all night and all day the next day. Luckily Abby didn't eat whatever it was that made us sick because it was awful and there wasn't enough space in one bathroom fro three sick people. There was barely enough for two. Not exactly his favorite birthday.
Grant and I have now been married for 5 years. I can't believe how quickly time goes by. We celebrated at a night out. We tried the Red Iguana for dinner, which a pretty popular place to eat in SLC. It was good but I think I missed out by not trying their signature stuff. The salsa was good though. I'm so grateful to have Grant as my husband and am glad we have forever because that barely seems long enough (most days).

Baby Names/Painting
Baby #2 - Colette Patricia Duff
We actually decided pretty quickly. Grant found the name asked me if I like it and I loved it. It instantly felt like her name. Then he picked 1 of 4 of the middle names that I liked that were family names. However, Grant gets to claim that he picked it all by himself since I picked Abby's name all by myself, which will mean baby number three will have to be a combined effort.
I had a lot of fun helping Abby make Mother's Day cards for the special grandmothers and grandmother figures in her life. Then she painted some more and had so much fun. I will have to make a note to paint more often. Also, doesn't she look so much like her dad! I love those two.

What an Awesome Day!
Today has been so awesome. I found out that Grant and I are having a healthy baby girl. I swore up and down to Grant that I knew it was a boy. haha. But we are very happy! When asked if Abby wanted a little sister or a little brother, she answered little sister every time. So it seems that she knew better than all of us. I'm pretending Grant agreed with me, which isn't completely true =). Now we just have to pick a name and Grant automatically hates the names I choose just because I got to pick Abby's name with really no input from him because I had it chosen since high school. So I will have to learn how to speak to his subconscious mind when he sleeps so he will like a name that I like to.
Another super awesome event in my day is that I graduated from USU with a BS in Family Life Studies. I took my last final and it feels awesome. I love saying that I am now an Aggie Alumni! I am looking forward to having time to clean my house and pick up some neglected hobbies like playing my piano and maybe some scrapbooking.
I am so grateful for my little family, Grant, Abby, and "Abby's little sister" and my family and extended family. A special thanks to my friends and neighbors who would watch Abby while Grant was working and I needed to study! I have been given so many blessings throughout these experiences and I would be ungrateful if I didn't thank my Heavenly Father for helping to guide me and comfort me through the hard times.
